Well, that is everything I have photographs of, anyway. Where there are gaps in the #'s, the artwork belongs to someone other than myself, and they have not given permission to post them. Or I may have destroyed a piece here or there...(I have been told it's not wise to do that, so I have stopped that practice.)
What will follow on these pages will be NEW work.
Keep in mind, I am not one of those savants who can crank out a painting in an hour, and sometimes I put my brushes away for months! But I always come back to it eventually. So stay tuned! (In the meanwhile, check out some of the family's artwork, listed by name on the left side of this blog under "Martineau Family Artists".)

On This Veterans Day
"A veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is
someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made
payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and
including my life." - That is Honor."
We pause today to Remember those who made the Ultimate Sacrifice.
We pause today to Pray for those who have fallen, and for their families.
We pause today to Thank Every Veteran and Every Active Duty Serviceman and Servicewoman for their commitment to their Country.

... we would like to Honor our favorite veteran...
Our Dad, Albert Martineau.
On February 2, 2009, a Medal Ceremony was held in the offices of
Rep. Patrick Kennedy of RI
Distinguished Flying Cross (shown, above)
Air Medal (three oak leaf clusters)
Marksmanship Badge with Carbine Bar
European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal
World War II Victory Medal
Honorary Service Lapel Button
American Campaign Medal
Good Conduct Medal
We are very proud of our Dad, and of all the Veterans who have served our Country so well.
My husband, Jerry Dunn, served overseas in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict, and in the National Guard.
Our sister, Donna Amaral, served in the U.S. Air force (Aerial Photography).
Our Brother, Lenny Martineau, served overseas in the U.S. Army as an Officer and helicopter pilot.
My Brother-in-law, Johnny Dunn, served overseas in the U.S. Navy as a submariner during the Vietnam Conflict.
My Brother-in-law, David Dunn, served overseas in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.
And the countless other Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins who were in the Military.
We are incredibly fortunate that our family members "came home safely".
We weep for those who never did.
And we would like to take this opportunity to THANK Every U.S. Veteran and Every Active Duty Member of Our Armed forces for the sacrifices made to keep us FREE.

The Start of an Artful Blog...
Hello, Everyone, and Welcome to ...
Water, Colors and More by Clare Martineau Dunn
Most of you already know me, otherwise you probably wouldn't be here, but for those who don't, this post includes a brief bio. And here it is:
I was Born and Raised in Providence, RI......and Graduated from Mount Pleasant HS in 1970
I married Jerry Dunn on April 8, 1971...We are still married, and still happy about it!
We have two sons, Michael and Robert.
And two lovely Daughters-in-law, Janet and Jennifer.
And three terrific Grandchildren: Nicholas (14) and Julia (11), (Mike and Jan's children)
And Madison (3), (Rob and Jen's baby girl)
We also have a 'bonus' grandchild, Jackson, who is the son of Brian and Kristina T.
(details about how we were able to procure an additional grandchild may come in a future post...)
I am a self-proclaimed artist. Some people like my work. I'm hoping you will, too.
The plan is to display one of my paintings or a couple of photographs per post. These images will not appear anywhere but here, so my hope is you will follow this blog.
