Christmas Art #0291

This is a Nativity Scene that I made during my "Pottery" phase in 1978.   There are 18 statuettes, lovingly sculpted, glazed and fired.  It took several months to complete.  The manger was constructed with old lathing strips I found in a neighbor's trash bin.

We have displayed this every Christmas for 33 years.  Miraculously, all of the pieces are 100% intact.

I cannot say that this was "The Best G.E.Ever", because they are ALL the best.

This one ended on it's usual high note.  James showed us the 'outtakes' from "Star Trek, The Lost Hot Seat", and we laughed 'til we p'ed.

And, after cleaning up the Hall, and packing our cars full of goodies, we kissed and hugged, and said "See you Tomorrow!" because we are never, any of us, very far away from one another...

Today we Feature Lenny Martineau

Brother Len is also a very talented artist, but for the last few years, he has been compiling "Photo Slideshows" in Powerpoint for his gift recipients.
These slideshows take an incredible amount of time to make...and it took the full 12 months for Len to complete the 15 minute program he did for Jerry.

In the interest of time, I will post only a few seconds of it for you now.

The full show is really quite amazing...several different songs, and hundreds of pictures. (This inadvertently became a gift for all of us Dunn's...such a wonderful keepsake!)

It is so cool that we know each other well enough that the gifts chosen are generally JUST PERFECT. Everyone was VERY happy with the gifts they received this year!
